RMIT University, is a leading provider of both undergraduate and postgraduate aviation programs.
The programs include Aerospace Engineering, Aerospace Maintenance, Aviation Management and Flight Training.
RMIT Flight Training also operates their program from its airbase at Point Cook, on the outskirts of Melbourne, where students can achieve their commercial flight license.
RMIT Flight Training is a specialist unit within RMIT University dedicated to training professional pilots. RMIT Flight Training's commitment is to provide a choice of quality initial flying programs that meet differing airline entry and regulatory requirements.
Key strengths are:
- RMIT is one of the few Australian universities to hold an Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Air Operator's Certificate. This approval allows RMIT Flight Training to issue flight crew licences up to commercial pilot and ratings and endorsements including instrument and instructor rating. RMIT pilot training programs are of the highest standards with all levels of training meeting CASA and Australian National Training standards.
- RMIT's facilities, program structure and its experienced and qualified team of instructors are internationally recognised. RMIT Flight Training has been granted approved flight school status by the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC) and conducts training tailored to meet the requirements of various overseas airlines.
RMIT English Worldwide collaborates with RMIT Flight Training in the area of English Language Development and Delivery.
